Do you take insurance?
New York and Connecticut Clients: As an out-of-network provider in NY and CT, I do not accept insurance directly. However, if you have out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement for some or all of the session fee. I can provide you with the necessary paperwork to submit claims for reimbursement.
California Clients: I accept Aetna, United, Optum, and Blue Shield.
How long are sessions?
Individual sessions are 50 minutes.
Couples sessions are 60 minutes.
Do you have in-person availability?
Currently, I am only offering virtual sessions.
Do you have a sliding scale?
Yes, I have a limited number of sliding scale appointments available for those in need.
What is the difference between a psychotherapist, a psychologist, and a psychiatrist?
Psychotherapist: This is an umbrella term for a practitioner who provides talk therapy. This includes licensed mental health counselors, clinical social workers, and psychologists.
Psychologist: A psychologist is a doctoral-level clinician (Ph.D or Psy.D). Psychologists have additional training in psychological testing, assessment, diagnosis, and research.
Psychiatrist: A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who diagnoses mental health conditions and prescribes medication, often alongside therapy.
